Cole Haan is in Bluefly!

There was a time when I was on a bag phase - I keep buying bags almost twice a month even though I already have favorites. I can remember the huge grin on my face every time the delivery guy hands me my packages with a smile. Yes, I shop for bags online most of the time. I had an irregular work schedule back then, had to be on call so I barely had any time to go shopping in the mall. Online shopping sites were my best bet.

Anyway, one of my favorite bags which has been serving me well for 5 years now is a huge black hobo from Cole Haan. It was one of the purchases that did not make me sleep until I finally had it with me. It is very sturdy and has been through a lot with me - temper tantrums and throwing my bag on the floor, running really late for work and just throwing it on my desk - you get the drift. I didn't know how Cole Haan can be so pricey here so I sort of regret being kind of cruel to it but it's still in great condition even after enduring all those with me. I check out the physical store here in Manila and I saw that some of their shoes are really nice and looks sturdy as well, but I cannot bring myself to purchase them. I can be a cheapskate, you know.

Of course, I checked out online stores, one of which is Bluefly and I got really excited when they had Cole Haan shoes! They only have a few styles available but I could not believe the discounted prices! The style that caught my eye is very simple yet has a touch of comfort and femininity. Here it is!

Anyway, it is still kinda pricey but the discount alone is too much to resist - after all, it is Cole Haan. Now if only customs here won't make a living out of international orders, then it won't hurt to place an order for this.

Have you ever tried shopping for clothes online? I have and I like checking out different online clothing stores. It saves me a lot of time by seeing a lot of different styles and brands without having to go from one store to another and walking around the mall until my feet hurt and end up buying nothing. Dresses and Me

If you know me, you probably know that I am not the girly-girl type who wears really nice and fancy dresses. It's not that I don't like them in general but it's just that I don't sit properly as girls should. I want to be as comfortable as I am whenever I sit down and not worry too much about what I am wearing. I find it funny when I see a girl wearing a dress but is too conscious about it. That is definitely far from being comfortable.


When we had our high school prom, I seriously did not want to go because I didn't want to wear a dress but I eventually went. It was fun seeing my classmates wearing prom dresses as they look really pretty in them. See, I went to an all girls school and we seriously didn't act too lady-like so it was a surprise seeing each other looking prim and proper. Of course, after prom, my dress got stored in the closet.

After a couple of years, a friend celebrated her 18th birthday and since it was a formal event, we were all told to wear evening dresses. I went to the mall to hunt for a really nice piece. Although there were really a lot of gorgeous dresses right in front of me, I decided against buying one because I would only wear it for that occasion. I also remembered the dress I wore when I went to prom and luckily, it still fit me. Now that I am getting older, I realized that it is important for a girl to at least have one dress that she can wear on more formal events or whenever she feels like it, and I am now looking for that perfect piece.

Fashion and Scrubs

Who says people in the medical field cannot look fashionable? I vividly remember the time when I was a kid and I was mighty scared of doing hospital visits because everyone, aside from visitors and patients, was wearing white. And as a kid with wild imagination, that didn’t give me a very nice image of hospitals, and stories from nannies and movies did not help either. But things really do change as time goes by, and that includes white hospital uniforms and scrubs.

Just as any fashion style, scrubs eventually evolved overtime. From old boring white scrubs, there are now different prints, patterns, and colors that you can choose from for men, women, and kids. And there are also jackets and unique scrubs like scrub hats for women. Yes, a hat.

On Bags and Fendi

Before I became a makeup addict, I was once addicted to bags. I remember having more than 30 bags in my closet, most of which were never used. I was kind of brand conscious but not the type who would spend thousands and thousands of money just for one single bag. But I do remember buying a Fendi purse back then and I remember it being sturdy even though I was not too good to it.

I think my love for bags is slowly coming back because I find myself looking for bags online more often than I look for makeup.
