DUPED: MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural - Fake Alert!

Remember the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural - Light on my previous posts that even became part of my Current Favorites last February? Yes, that one. It is FAKE. I liked it initially but that didn't last long so I sold it. And unfortunately and fortunately, the person who purchased it is much more aware of the fake MAC circulating in the market and is much more vigilant when it comes to such products. Unfortunate that she got the MAC MSF from me and fortunately, she informed me and now I know I also got a fake one.

Sadly though, I have stopped using MAC products a couple of years ago and I have never used a MAC MSF before - just the blushes, blot powder, studio fix, lipsticks, lip glasses and brushes,all of which I have all purchased from the store - so I am not familiar with the qualities of the MSF Natural and simply relied heavily on the sellers' positive feedback. Yes, I know that it's no longer safe to buy such products online but little did I know that these darn (pardon my language) counterfeiters are getting damn good at it! I used to think that I can tell fake makeup just by looking at the pictures but I guess that is no longer the case.

Goodies Goodies!

People come and go. And so does makeup. Since I am trying to curb my spending habits, I made a pact with myself that for each makeup (or two) that I buy, I have to let go of something from my stash, to somehow feel less guilty about buying. One replaces the other - that will be the cycle unless I really like something and decide it's a keeper that I won't let go of. Help with MAC 187!

I need help with my MAC 187. The big problem is that I can't remove the blush stain on the white bristles. I already washed it with J&J baby wash, I did deep cleaning, and I did the tip a fellow GTalker gave on using a gentle facial wash yet the stubborn stain is still there. Look at the pictures.





What can I do to get rid of the stains and make the bristles white again? Any tips/suggestions? Thanks :)


EDIT: Here's an update on the brush.

I first tried washing it with Pantene shampoo (good thing that is my shampoo) but to no avail.
Then I used a gentle dishwasher I saw on the storage cabinet but nada.
I washed it with an antibacterial handwash and still, the stubborn stain is there.

I got my Smashbox brush cleaner and poured a little on a clear glass just enough for the white bristles and soaked it in there for an hour. Then shampooed the bristles again.

I am so happy to say that the stain's almost gone but there's still a little left. So I might just go ahead and buy that cleanser at Healthy Options. I am now desperate to make the bristles white again. :P

By the way, I swear I'll never use my 187 on a Kryolan blush again. It's the culprit! That's how pigmented that blush is. Most of the time, the stain's gone when I used MAC or NARS or any other brand.

Fake MAC HELLO KITTY Items on eBay.ph!!!!

I've been pissed at those sellers selling fake items on eBay.ph. And I will forever be pissed at them for claiming their items are AUTHENTIC! Fake MAC blushes being sold for PHP150-PHP200, is way better than this seller that sells FAKE MAC HELLO KITTY ITEMS FOR MORE THAN PHP1,000! For goodness' sake, that is just plain wrong! It's a CON! That seller has gone way overboard and disgusts me for trying to cheat people off their money.

What the heck is shade 2?! This seller is unbelievable! I can't believe how gutsy he or she or whoever the heck that seller is. All I know is that this seller is one freakin' liar.



This seller must be really a HUGE fan of the Hello Kitty Collection that he/she/it doesn't know how many lipglass shades there are for the HK Collection! And doesn't even refer to the Blush as Beauty Powder. What a shame!

I hope somebody can kick this seller's ass and give an in-your-face proof that the HK items are far from being authentic and is nothing but a cheap-o FAKE! Read more...
