In the Limelight: DLE Cosmetics All Natural Light Up Lip Gloss in Pink Fetissh Product Review + Gloss Giveaway at the end!!!

Imagine yourself having a few cocktails in a bar and suddenly, this guy looks your way, smiles at you, and you weren't totally prepared as he walks to your direction. You wanted to look pretty so you quickly dabbed on some lip gloss on your lips and to his horror (and much more to your horror), it was all over the place with some smeared on your teeth the moment you smile at him. And he disappeared just as quickly as Harry Houdini would. That would be an embarrassing yet a funny sight, wouldn't you agree? That is exactly what you will see on the DLE Cosmetics promotional video. They are a fairly new company in California with the Natural Light Up Lip Gloss as their main product at the moment. They sent me a couple of glosses to try and here is my review.

I received two shades - Pink Fetissh and Jess Barely. And I am reviewing Pink Fetissh.

What I like:

• I find the tube simple and sleek. Nothing really fancy but not cheap-looking either.
• Pink Fetissh is a pretty pink shade with a hint of peach that has shimmers. The shade somehow reminds me of a Chanel Glossimer that I have previously owned. The shimmers do not end up all over the face which is a good thing.
• It can be worn alone or on top of a lipstick to add gloss and shimmer on your lips.
• This is not a very sticky gloss. I have a strong dislike for really sticky lip products, hence, the lack of such product on my stash. It feels quite comfortable on my lips.
• It has not caused any discomfort on my lips nor on the surrounding skin. No allergic reaction, no stinging. 
• Fairly inexpensive for $8.95/tube.

What I don't like:

• While shimmers are pretty, I find it a tad frosty for me. But it is a personal preference and younger ones might feel more attracted to it. If you have full lips, this may make them look fuller so apply the gloss little by little.
• Since they are a start-up company, you only get 3 shades to choose from at the moment - Pink Fetissh, Poison Apple, and Jess Barely. 
• Not locally available for most countries but they do ship internationally at a fair cost. Just be patient for your parcel to arrive. 

In between: The light up gloss idea isn't a first for me. I purchased a lip gloss from a local brand with almost the exact same packaging and "mechanism" for the way it lights up. It also has a small mirror on the side for quick application. I was not really fond of makeup that lights up because it sometimes causes me to have migraine, having that sudden burst of light. But if this doesn't come with it, that defeats the purpose of this product being a light up gloss. Others may like it more than I do. I like the gloss a lot (and so does my mom who digs the light that she decided she'll keep the Jess Barely shade to herself) but I am quite sensitive to light. 

Overall rating: 4/5 I did my best to stay objective when giving this gloss a rating. Setting aside my personal preferences and sensitivity, I find this a nice lip gloss especially for those who do not like stiiiiiccckkkkyyyy glosses and want a touch of gloss without feeling uncomfortable.

Will I buy again? If they come up with more pretty shades to choose from, I would. Though I find myself curious about Poison Apple since it seems like a gorgeous red shade. I just might! :)

Thank You Giveaway Closed + Winner

Hi guys. My Thank You Giveaway has finally ended. I would like to thank those who have joined for sharing your stories, I swear I laughed and cried while reading all those and I can relate to most of the entries. I really had a hard time deciding which one to choose because all never failed to bring a smile or a tear on my face. Before I announce my pick, I would like to show the prize I will be sending to the winner.

I have added a Maybelline Clear Smooth Blush and a Revlon Self-adhesive False Eyelashes. I really wanted to send a little something to each and everyone who joined but I've been really busy and stressed lately that all I can give for now is a wish of happiness and love to all of you.

Here's my pick.

The entry of netchimp2004 really caught my attention. Almost all of us have fond and loving memories with our dads but hers really stood out. The reason why I chose her entry is that it proved my belief that no matter how terrible a person may be or how badly they have disappointed and failed us, there is still something good that person has done for us, for at least once in his/her life that will make us remember for the rest of our lives. Here is her entry.

Here's my story regarding my special moment with my dad. It's not the usual "i-love-my dad-so-much" story but it's special in its own way because it's the ONLY moment i can think of that involved my dad.

You see, my parents have their differences (they are separated now). I've never been close to my dad. My dad is selfish, a womanizer, never appreciated my mom or his kids. Whats important to him is his relatives, money and friends. He was not a good husband, nor a good father. He didn't even attend my recognition day at dlsu for being a consistent dean's honor lister and instead chose to attend a party given by his friends. It has always been his relatives or friends over his family.

I don't have a single loving moment with him except for this. When i was in grade school, we needed to do project. Sort of collage of a farm. It was my dad who did it for me and made a great job out of it, a farm with all the toy animals complete with a blue stream (used blue coloring from his aquarium). My teachers and classmates loved it and was in awe of its creativity. This is the ONLY moment i can think of fondly of my dad. I cannot remember anything else. This is the only loving memory i will treasure from him and take to my grave."

Even though he was not a good father to her, I believe he did something right that made her remember this as the only loving memory she had with her dad. I really wanted to give her a hug because my dad loved me so much that I wanted to share all those good and loving memories I had with her. Anyway, I don't want to get emotional here so I'm ending this post with a big THANK YOU for sharing your stories. It was really wonderful reading all of them.

1. Lander Advance Skin Care Hydrating Cocoa Butter Lotion - smells really good and moisturizing. My alternative to Palmer's Cocoa Butter when I ran out of it. Cheaper too.

2. Purederm 3 in 1 Beauty Magic BB Cream - I am proud to say that this is my HG BB Cream and I will not stray from it. I'm done trying out different BB Creams.

3. Shiseido Sheer Mattifying Compact Powder Foundation - sheer, silky, smooth finish that feels so light on the face.

4. Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Foundation - my HG liquid foundation. Need I say more? :P

5. Shu Uemura Glow On Blush M Pink 30 - I think this will forever be a favorite! My pick-me-up blush. :)

6. Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in BG 949 - a very pretty beige-pink-nude lipstick.

7. Skinfood Salmon Dark Circle Powder - a powder made specifically for the under eyes. This is a great powder to set your under eye concealer.

8. Charm Luxe Mini Kabuki - the cutest brush ever! Perfect with No. 9.

9. Kryolan Anti Shine Powder - a good setting powder that I sometimes use on its own. Helps keep oilies at bay.

10. Mentholatum Lip Ice Sheer Color Fragrance-Free - a new love! Turns to a nice shade of pink on the lips.

11. Prestige Perfectly Matte Translucent Powder in Oatmeal - a good face powder that has light to medium coverage. My cheaper alternative to MAC Blot but still, Blot is better. BUT Kryolan Anti Shine still reigns supreme. :P

My Blush Giveaway Winners and Recent Mini Haul

Sorry it took me so long to post the giveaway winners but I just got home from a date with my mom. :P



My friends and I can't come up with a decision, it's really hard even though there are only a few entries like a little over 10. But we came up with one decision. My boss arrived last night from the US. Or should I say early this morning. He knocked on our door and he left a suitcase full of lingeries and stuff. Our orders came. I got the following:

Got 50% off everything! :P

I got the waist cincher because I need to trim my waist. And my colleague used to wear the XLarge size and after a couple of months wearing it, she's now wearing a Large. I got the Large size because my waist measures 30-31 inches now. Gah! I'm in such a bad shape. -_- Not only that, since I have scoliosis, it helps correct the posture, helps relieve back pain. Both are true! My back didn't hurt while wearing it. And my waist measured 27 inches again! :p Well, it will take a couple of months before I am back to measuring 27. I'm liking the product mainly for my back. :) This is actually one of our best selling products. It received positive reviews so getting it for half the price is such a great deal! :D It can also be used as an accessory, worn on top of a blouse or a shirt.



I got the Fashion Forms Softback Bra Extenders because I have a couple of bras that aren't my size and I want to be able to wear them and this is the problem solver! :P


And lastly, the Braza Flash Tape. Don't you just hate it when your skin peeks out from the inside if your blouse? And your boobies are flashing like it has a Mardi Gras of its own? This will solve that problem. Safe to use for the skin and won't leave patches or marks on your clothes.


I am getting a free bra which is made for clothes with really low necklines. It is cute! :P

These 3 items cost roughly $30. Thanks to the big discount. I wonder what I'll be getting next. :P

As I've mentioned earlier, I had a date with my mom. We haven't gone out in a long time so today was the perfect time to take her out. We just had late lunch at French Baker at a nearby mall because it started raining just as we were about to leave the house. After lunch, we went to the department store where I saw an Elianto booth and I got the Peach nail polish for only PHP99. Pretty! My mom went to a certain section at the department store and I didn't wanna go there so I decided to check out the G-lish booth instead. I ended up getting 2 stackable blushes - Shades 5 and 7. Shade 7 reminds me of MAC Dollymix. For PHP100 each, it's so worth it. They are pigmented and really pretty. I'm planning to buy every shade there is of the stackable blushes, as long as they will suit my skintone.







See how pretty the blushes are? And they are also pigmented. I only had to dab my finger once on the pan and look at the color pay off. :P

By the way, here's my current nail color. Caress Belgian Nude.
