Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss in Cantaloopy

I am not a huge fan of lip gloss basically because they are gooey and sticky and my lips feel weird and thick when I'm wearing some and that is why I love tinted lip balms. And to be honest, I only have one lip gloss left in my stash, after I de-stashed, and that is Stila Lip Glaze in Star Fruit. I love the color and the scent that is why I still have it. When someone gave me this Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush lip gloss, I thought it was pretty but I had a bad experience with VS lippies when I had the Strawberry Fizz one because it gave me migraine. But I actually ended up liking this one and here's a mini review. :P

It looks like a plain and boring creamy white lip gloss at first but it has pink reflects which makes it gorgeous. I wonder if you can see it on the swatch. The scent surprisingly did not trigger my allergic rhinitis nor gave me migraine. It actually smells yummy and fruity and not overpowering. The gloss isn't as sticky as I thought it would be and definitely nowhere near the stickiness of MAC lipglasses so I see myself using it though I am not sure if I would repurchase for myself since I am not a lipgloss girl. Staying power is pretty cool and looks really gorgeous especially on top of any lipstick. It comes in a squeeze out tube which makes it hygienic - no need to do the dunking of the doe-foot or brush applicator most lippies come with.

 

I like layering it on top of any lipstick and my fave one to layer it with is Clinique Berry Freeze. The one on the left is the lipstick swatch, on the right is the one with the gloss.

Mini Blush Haul: Victoria's Secret and Physician's Formula

At last! The two pretty blushes I purchased via eBay came in last Monday and Tuesday. I received my Physician's Formula Baked Blush in Baked Berry last Monday and the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Mosaic Blush in Afterglow. I got both for PHP550 and PHP405 respectively.

Physician's Formula Wet/Dry Baked Blush in Baked Berry
-this is a very pretty blush and received positive reviews on MakeUpAlley
-reminds me of MAC mineralized blushes/skin finish
-pigmented and is best used with a stippling/duo fiber brush
-has a very cute compact with a mirror and small cheek brush inside
-not really a berry shade but more of a peach-pink shade that somehow resembles ELF Glow

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Mosaic Blush in Afterglow
-received mixed reviews at MakeUpAlley
-some complained about it being too pink, though in my opinion, it is not really that pink- just right
-a very pretty luminous blush that goes on sheer and buildable

I have a new baby! Samsung Blackjack II

I have a new baby! Not the one that cries out load when hungry or wet, but a new gadget. I now have a Samsung SGH-i617 Blackjack II which is a smartphone/PDA phone.


It's using Windows mobile 6 which is good. I've used Windows mobile before when I had an O2 pda phone. I like almost everything about it except for 2 things--- 1. Camera- only 2 megapixel
2. No WiFi. I was kinda disappointed so I decided not to let goo of my Nokia N80 and keep it. For me, N80 is such a smart phone. I have installed Opera mini in it and a lot of other stuff. I just can't part ways with it. But the flex ribbon keeps getting busted so I have to have it fixed like every year. But so far, I am happy with my Blackjack II. I'm slowly getting used to the qwerty keypad again. And it's a little biggie. Look:



It's kinda big but it's not fat, I find it kinda sleek. It would've been perfect for me if it has wifi but the N80 can do that for me.

Oh, I got this from my cousin for $100. He's had it for only 2 months but hasn't used it because he likes using his Blackberry better. That's why there's an AT&T logo at the bottom of it. It looks brand new to me so I think it is a good buy.

My cousin's going back to the US today. We went out last Friday. Had late lunch at Charlie's where a friend joined us. We had philly cheese steak, buffalo wings, black angus burger, and fish & chips. I love the buffalo wings! We went home full then had coffee at Krispy Kreme in Gateway. The cousin and I went straight to Bamboo Grill Asia where we had drinks from 6pm - 10pm. We had beer, white russian drinks, onion rings with ranch sauce (which is yummy) and cheese sticks with chese sauce (which is also yummy). Yesterday, we had a despedida/farewell lunch for him.Then my cousin's girlfriend gave me something. A Victoria's Secret body lotion in Pure Seduction.


I wish my nose luck because it was never that lucky with Victoria's Secret Scents. Whenever I smell something from VS or anything sweet, I end up having a sneeze fest where I sneeze continuously for more than 10 times. Anyway, that's it for now. Ciao! ^_^ Read more...
