Pink Color Instant Cracking Nail Polish from Born Pretty

Howdy? Here's another quick post. I was supposed to review a blush but decided to post something else instead just because. A couple of weeks ago, I received a Cracking Nail Polish from Born Pretty and it took me a while to figure out how to make cracking polishes work. Sorry, I'm not into nail art and polishes as I don't have the incredible talent that other girls have and you already know who these fab ladies are. :P Anyway, please bear with the application and how it looks. I don't even have a clear polish or a top coat.

It's a pretty pink shade that isn't too bold or bright. I was just surprised at how quickly it dries but I guess that's a good thing because you don't have to blow air on your fingers or put your hands right across a fan just for the polish to dry. I had trouble on my first few attempts but I was able to finally get it right. I later on realized that it was in fact easy to use and looks really nice. I've had it for a few days now and what's great is that even if the tip starts chipping off, it won't be too obvious because of the style.

Here's my weak attempt in using a cracking polish. But the good thing is that it cracks so the mistakes won't be too obvious. :P

Overall a really nice and pretty polish. I am not a nail polish person but I like how it looks. You can buy this polish and other nail art tools as well as makeup from Born Pretty Store Anyway, I hope I can do better next time and maybe that one will look better.

MAC BPB Joyous and G-Lish Gelato Cheek Treat 5: Spend vs. Save?

I was just fixing my blush stash when I noticed how similar G-lish Gelato Cheek Treat 5 is to MAC Beauty Powder Blush in Joyous. They looked similar I had to take pictures.



I haven't really taken pictures and made swatches since I am still trying out both blushes, to see if they really look like each other and would work as spend vs. save.

Mini Mini Haul

I went to the grocery with my mom, helper, my niece/goddaughter and their helper this morning. I tagged along because I wanted to go to the American 99.99 store thingie, I'm not sure of the exact store name. The little girl went with me and my mom and the two girls went straight to the grocery.

I saw lotsa make up for less than PHP100! LA Colors, Black Radiance, Aziza, Jordache, and some other brands I saw for the first time. I was checking out the nail polish rack but I didn't find the shade I was looking for so I grabbed one lip gloss instead from LA Colors. I got it in Tickled Pink. The little girl wanted a lip gloss palette but I don't think her mom would like it if I buy here one because she's onbly 6 years old. :P I got her a "fairy wand" as she called it instead. Then I saw some more make up on another section. I saw LA Colors blushes but there is only one shade and it's plummish. I grabbed it but then I just passed on it since plums never work for me. I always end up looking like I have a bruise on my cheeks. Then I got the Suave Juicy Green Apple shampoo.

The little girl got hungry and wanted siomai so we went to the siomai stall where she had her fix while I had my HongKong Style noodle fix. Followed to the grocery where I found the cosmetics section and grabbed 2 Bobbie nail polish bottles. The first one's Fave Bikini - pastel/pale purple with no shimmer stuff - and the second one's Flower Girl - a pretty candy pink nail polish (glaze).

So here's what I got for today. It's a mini mini haul.

LA Colors Moisturizing Lip Gloss - Tickled Pink
- I am loving the color, a pretty pink shade
- It has a mild fruity vanilla-ish scent to it which my nose can tolerate
- A bit pigmented and for the PHP99.99, it is worth it

Careline Extra Shine Lip Shimmer 03
- My first time to try something from this local brand
- It is really pigmented so a little goes a long way
- The glitters is bothering me a bit, I didn't find it that moisturizing when I tried it on
- A little too sticky for my liking
- The color is really pretty, sort of berry-ish
- Has Vitamin E
- Price isn't so bad for PHP67.50

Nail Color update

We weren't busy at work last night so I had all the time in the world to apply nail polish on my fingernails. It was the first time I used such color because I always go for neutrals or nudes or french tips or none for my fingernails. I used my colleague's apple green nail polish.



I actually liked it. But I ruined it when I got home so I had to remove it. :(

Then I remember buying this cheap-o nail polish from the store that rented on our space last month. It's a pretty pastel pink nail polish I got for only PHP10! So I applied it on my nails and I am loving it. :P



I am so digging pastel colors. I'm planning to get a purple polish but I want it to be "pastel purple"? I dunno how I'm supposed to call it. I want pastel green, pink, purple, blue, and yellow. :-)

I am loving my nails right now.

For my feet, I still have french tips on my toe nails. :P
