In the Limelight: Canmake Creme Cheeks Blush in Peach Dream Product Review

Hey, guys! How are you doing? I told you I'm doing my best to regularly blog again so I am posting a review of another blush today. As most of you know by now, I have a certain fondness for Japanese cosmetics. I can't rave enough as to how impressive the quality of their products are even with drugstore brands. I was lemming a creme blush from Canmake, a Japanese drugstore brand, and it took me a while before I finally caved in and purchased and now, here is my review.

The shade I am reviewing is 01 Peach Dream.

What I like:

  • The shade is a very pretty milky peach-pink shade. It somehow looks blue-based on my arm and cheeks.
  • Texture is really soft, smooth, and creamy making it spread and blend easily on the skin.
  • Unscented.
  • Pigmented enough to show on extremely light to light skin but needs building up for medium-dark skin.
  • Has not caused any irritation or allergic reaction on my skin.

What I don't like:
  • It has glitters that seem like they have minds of their own because they go to different parts of my face. Beats me how they manage to do that on their own.
  • Does not last even for an hour on my combination-oily skin type. Easily rubs off. Poor staying power.
  • Pretty pricey for a drugstore brand and not locally available so you have to join pre-orders to get your hands on Canmake.
  • Small and the packaging is flimsy.

Overall rating: 1.5/5 I think this is the lowest rating I have ever given a blush. That is how displeased and unhappy I am with this blush. Others may like it a lot but for a Japanese brand, I guess I expected a bit more from it.

Will I buy again?  No, not even other shades. I'd like to try their powder blushes though.

Have you tried blushes from Canmake? What would you recommend?

Have a great week, everyone! :)

Cheers,

  3. You should try the lmdb creme fresh tints, you will love them. They last very well on my oily skin.

    1. Eeh, even if I want to, I can't. It's not locally available. :(

  4. I haven't tried any product from canmake, I honestly don't know where to get them. Though I always see beauty gurus use them like sasakiasahi.

    Those blushes really look lovely.

    1. There are stores in Multiply that do pre-orders and sometimes, they have stocks on hand. But you can also purchase them from apopofkawaii online. :)

  5. Hi sis, I get your disappointment with this product. Preordered pa naman so hihintayin tapos ang mahal ng price nito sa mga local resellers.

I have this too pero nabili ko siya sa Sasa Hong Kong and it was much, much cheaper, also I was able to swatch the shades before buying...ang OA sa shimmer nung shades I think 1-6. I got shade 10 which has no shimmer and is a warm peach color. It lasts on me but then my skin right now is dry. Maybe it just lasts longer on dryer skin?

    1. I though that it would last longer than the one on the right (Laura Mercier) as it dries somewhat satiny as compared to LM. :(

Lucky it lasts on you and the one you got does not have glitters. :)

  6. I've heard about these blushes, they look very creamy and pigmented, it's a shame this one doesn't last on your skin! I know what you mean about the glitters going everywhere on your face, I had this problem with a blush too, ARGH!

    1. I think these will last longer on those with dry skin. :(

Yeah, not good when that happens with glitters.

    1. Oh no. I wonder what shade that is, which made your cheeks look that way.

  8. Aww to bad you didn't like this one. The shade looks nice pa naman.

When you mentioned about the glitters, I was imagining you glittering like Edward Cullen. Hehehe

  9. I only own 1 of the cream cheeks. I forget what color it is but it's the bright orange one. This color looks super cute and wearable!

    1. I can imagine how one would like this shade if glitters do not bother her. :)

  10. That's too bad it didn't work for you! I'm tempted to try a shade or two...I'm planning to use it after I've put on powder foundation, the pixiwoo sisters always can manage to put a cream product on their cheeks after powdering so I think its worth a shot for staying powder.

    1. I apply it after pressed powder/foundation and it didn't help at all. But I do hope it works for you in case you decide to try it. :)
