How's your weekend, everyone? I haven't been blogging as frequently as I'd like to and I will no longer make any promises to blog more often but I'll do my best to update this blog every time I can. Anyway, today I am reviewing a creme blush from Laura Mercier that is part of their Lingrerie Collection for Spring 2012 which is Innocent Peach. I am not a huge fan of creme blushes due to my skin type but lately, I am sort of digging them. So without further ado, here is the review.
Laura Mercier describes the Creme Cheek Colours as "A long-lasting, natural cheek colour formulated to provide translucent, buildable coverage for a soft, velvety finish."
What I like:
- Innocent Peach is such a luscious mixture of peach, coral, and pink which translates to a salmon shade that has enough warmth in it. It is simply pretty.
- Texture is smooth and very creamy that it glides like butter on the skin but dries to a satin finish.
- My nose did not detect any scent at all.
- Pigmented.
- It looks natural on the skin (A common characteristic of most creme blushes. Operative word: most) and blends fairly well with my skin tone.
- No allergic reaction, no breakouts either.
- The little compact has a mirror which is pretty handy for touch ups.
- Inexpensive for Php 995 at local Laura Mercier counters.
- Has a shelf life of one year.
What I don't like:
- Oxidizes on me after a while which then looks dirty on me.
- Lasts for only half an hour to an hour tops which could very well be due to my combination-oily skin.
- Contains only 2.34g of product.
Overall rating: 3/5 If only it lasts longer on me and ultimately, if it does not oxidize on me, I definitely would have given this a higher rating.
Will I buy again? Probably not. I'll go for tints such as Becca Beach Tints instead. :)
Have you tried Laura Mercier creme blushes? How do you find them?
Have a blessed Sunday, everyone.
Cheers,

DeleteWow that shade looks so lovely on your skin!
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear. :)
DeleteHey Pammy thanks for that review, I was eyeing it. I can safely skip it now. I must say though it loos really pretty on you.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you ought to try it first before totally skipping it as it is really pretty. Who knows, it might work for you. ;)
DeleteAww. I love the natural finish of cream blushes, but I can't possibly consume one whole product in a year so it would be a waste. :(
ReplyDeleteTrue. That's why I still prefer powder blushes over creams or gels. :)
Deletehi, i believe that creme blushes give that subtle dewey feeling on the cheeks which i love, it doesn't chalk :)
ReplyDeletewild and fierce
Hello. :) I agree, that's what I like about creme blushes.
DeleteOh wow, I've yet to be fortunate to try ANY laura mercier products but it looks so smooth, natural and perfect on your cheeks!
ReplyDeleteLaura Mercier products are nice and fairly priced, maybe you should give them a try one of these days, dear. :)
Deleteoh my gosh, this is sooooo pretty on your skin!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) It's just a bummer that it oxidizes on me. :(
Deletethat is one beautiful shade! Reminds me of Orgasm for some reason!! Nice choice of colour, Pammy!
ReplyDeleteHello Pammy! I hope all is well. Just dropping by to say hello.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, this blush is super gorgeous! I love the same and gosh, the color looks really great on you :)
ooooh i love the shade!
ReplyDeletetoo bad it doesn't last too long, specially with our oily combo skin plus our really humid weather :-(
did you try to set it with a blush powder of a similar shade?
I have this blush too and I really like it! It's so sad to hear that it doesn't last well on your skin. I have oily skin too but I find that with a foundation that controls oil well + powder, this product can last for over 3 hours on me before fading. The colour is very pretty nonetheless.

The color suites you well! I'm currently in search of a decent blush gel since I don't really have the patience to use a brush. What other blush gels do you recommend that has a 5/5 rating? Thank you! :)
