Reader Question: Do you use drugstore makeup?

Happy Saturday, everyone! Earlier today, I received an email from Freedback with a question from a reader, Mitch, asking if I use drugstore makeup. The answer is "Yes, I do use drugstore makeup." That being said, I thought of sharing the drugstore products that I use. :)

1. Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
2. Revlon Brow Fantasy in Brunette
3. Natasha Glam & Glide Lip Gloss in Better Bare
4. ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame in Ash
5. Skinfood Choco Powder Eyebrow Wood Pencil
6. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector
7. NYC Lip Slider in Sugar Angel
8. Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Light 4-5 Cream
9. Wet n Wild ColorIcon Single Eyeshadow in Envy
10. Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in Black
11. Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer in Cream
12. Palladio Herbal Lip Slix in Rosewood
13. PureDerm 3 in 1 Beauty Magic BB Cream
14. Maybelline The Magnum Volume Express Mascara
15. Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express Mascara
16. Sleek Makeup iDivine Eyeshadow Palette in Bad Girl
17. ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

And if Tony Moly and Skinfood are indeed drugstore brands in Korea, I am including these three products:

1. Skinfood Salmon Dark Circle Powder
2. Tony Moly Cherry Pink tint
3. Toy Moly Berry Berry Magic Lip Tint in Strawberry
* Skinfood Choco Powder Eyebrow Wood Pencil no longer included as it has already been included on the first list.*

That's all, dearies! I hope this has answered Mitch's question. :)

How about you? Do you also use drugstore brands?

Have a fantabulous weekend, everyone! :)

Cheers,

  7. A lot of drugstore products test on animals, and I have a hard time finding cruelty free stuff. I use Wet N Wild eyeshadows, and I have some Milani eyeliners, but that's about it.

  17. it's good to have variety in the makeup bin right? i also adore lots of drugstore brands, be it makeup or skincare. my list includes Maybelline, Revlon, Sally Hansen, Avene, Dolly Wink, Majolica Majorca, ZA, KOJI and NYX.

  18. Currently, almost all my makeup is drugstore.

Except for shiseido sun stick foundation. For the longest time I've been contemplating on which foundation to buy... Kanebo, mufe, or chanel. I'm still convincing myself if they're worth it.

  20. @MSodapop PureDerm is the second best BB cream I have ever tried. Not that I have tried that much. Here is my review on that product last year - http://hawaiianpunchie.blogspot.com/2010/10/product-review-purederm-3-in-1-beauty.html

    :)

  21. @Hollie Me too, I like Maybelline, even more than I like Revlon and L'Oreal. Come to think of it, I only own one product from Revlon and none from L'Oreal. :D Replied to your question on your blog. :)

  22. @VijiiS I heard about it and that's just so sad. Will try to stay away from brands that do that but it's gonna be hard especially if I love the product. :)

  23. @SadeeStyle There are lotsa gems hidden in drugstore brands, I truly believe that and that's why I'm not a snob when it comes to brands.

  24. @Sweethestia That's true! But drugstore brands here aren't priced like those in the US that's why some people think that they are high end - Revlon for example. :D Maybelline and ELF, on the other hand are both reasonably priced, in my opinion. :)

  25. @Jamilla Camel I completely agree with Maybelline and their mascaras! :P

  31. @MereMakeupManiac That's so true! Well, I'd go for Japanese drugstore brands any time of the day. The quality is amazing! Just gotta adore Japanese makeup. :P Lucky you have access to ZA, I'm bummed that it's no longer available just when I liked makeup. :D

  35. I don't understand why some people still have a negative impression of drugstore products. Some of them have really stepped up their game recently and I've been really disappointed by high end products, I'm not sure they are worth it.

  42. i love to use drugstore brands for the eyes and lips- like elf, maybelline, covergirl, loreal, etude etc..
but i'm scared to use drugstore brands for the face because of my horrific breakout from using loreal, maybelline, neutogena powders/foundie .. they gave me worst acne ever =( traumatic for me, i never tried again.
i survived with VMV cosmetics to cover my scars, then gradually I tried the higher end. uhuh long story.. hehe
    IMY pammycakes =)
