Since I am more of a flip flops and jeans girl, I need to start buying shoes that are okay for smart casual attire. Yesterday, my colleagues and I went to Cybermall in Eastwood during our lunch break and I spotted a small bazaar inside the mall and saw some shoes being sold for PHP599 for two pairs. Only one pair caught my eye and that's the only pair I bought so I ended up paying PHP320 instead. I don't know how to haggle so I just paid for it. I knew it's a little too much for an unbranded and "tiangge shoes" but I really like it so I settled for the price.
I am loving bargain shopping! I will definitely do bargain shopping again soon. :P
Last night, I went to Katips again with someone and Zombie had its toll on me once more. :P Nevertheless, it was another fun evening. :) Tonight will be our company's early Christmas party in Katipunan. There will be a live band and hard drinks and buffet. I can see myself looking for Advil tomorrow morning. :)

As I was commenting on someone's post, here's what word verification came up with.
It made me laugh because er, just because. :P
Nonsense, sorry :D

COTD: Chanel Joues Contraste in Tea Rose
Here's my COTD for today. I decided to use Chanel JC Tea Rose.
And here's Tea Rose on my cheeks.
I dunno but upon application, it looks too light for me but after a few minutes, the color shows up as a pink-peach-rosy hue on my cheeks. This sort of reminds me of T. Le Clerc Brun Rose save for the peach tone on this blush.
Lips: MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner - Gentle Coral
There wasn't a COTD yesterday as I went out and wore Chanel In Love again. It is my pick-me-up blush. I had fun last night with someone. We had zombie and baked nachos at Katips then got Slurpees at 711 and hung out at UP Dil. Too bad there weren't any stars up the sky last night. Anyway, I got home by midnight and was knocked out.
I hope you're all having a great weekend so far! :P

COTD: NARS Taos
Yey! I'm, glad my COTD idea didn't suck. :P
I already fell asleep but I suddenly woke up and remembered I had to post the NARS Taos COTD. :) So here it is.
This looks mighty scary on the pan and a lot of people say it is better for medium-dark skin tones. I think not. :P
It looks so natural on my cheeks. I got flushed cheeks! :P
Lips: Palmer's Lip Butter, very light dab of MAC Cosmo l/s
I hope you like my COTD2. :P
Tomorrow, I might wear either NARS Crazed or Chanel JC Tea Rose but I'm not sure yet because I have a "date" after work so I might use my HG Chanel In Love instead. :P
Ta! :)
***I noticed that most of my pics have pretty much the same angle. They may look the same but they are different shots, ok? :P ***

COTD (Cheek of the Day): Chanel Irreelle Blush in In Love
Yey! This is my first COTD! :P I finally managed to make a post since I haven't fallen asleep yet. Last Monday and yesterday (Tuesday), I fell asleep at 5pm then woke up at 4am. That's how badly I am adjusting to the morning shift. Hehe. That's 11 hours of sleep for moi. :)
Lemme know if my COTD idea is nonsense so I won't make another post like this.
So for today, I used Chanel Irreellee Blush in In Love. I will start using all my blushes so nothing will remain unused. Yes, even those with very cute designs have to be used starting today.
I will post a picture of the blush I used and another one with it on my cheeks. :)
Tomorrow, I am going to use NARS Taos.
I hope you're all having a great week so far! :)

Top 6 Blushes
I'm back! Whew! It's been a week since I last made a post. I'm still adjusting to waking up early in the morning and going to work. I'm used to working at night. Anyway, I am stressed at work. Well, mostly because I had to learn a lot of new things and I had a lot of adjusting to do. After one week of work, a new colleague and I de-stressed last night by having early dinner at Fazoli's where I had my favorite pesto and then went to a bar for a couple of beers. There are 5 of us newbies. 2 girls, 1 guy, and 2 gays. I love gays! They're so much fun to be with. And one of them is even 6'1" tall and dresses like a girl. They're so funny. :P Anyway, I want to go back to regular blogging, which I hope I can do starting next week. :)
So anyway, I'd like to share with you guys what my Top 6 blushes are. They are my absolute favorites. I told myself I wouldn't play any favorites so I can use all the blushes but I can't help it. :P
My Top 6:
1. Chanel Irreelle Blush in In Love
2. NARS Taos
3. Chanel Joues Contraste in Tea Rose
4. NARS Deep Throat
5. MAC Mineralize Blush Grand Duo in Intenso
6. Benefit Coralista
Why these are my Top 6
1. Chanel Irreelle Blush in In Love
It imparts a really gorgeous warm coral pink colour on my cheeks that looks natural. It doesn't look fake and it works well with my skintone. A little goes a long way too. Doesn't take much to show on me. And it contours my face well too, without the need of using bronzer or contouring powder. This is absolutely my HG blush! :)
2. NARS Taos
If it is flushed cheeks I want, I go for this blush. It gives a really natural flush on my cheeks, the one that I usually get when I am beat or if I am flustered. Not to mention the fact that I only had to lightly dab my stippling brush on the pan and I'm good to go with both cheeks. A little goes a long way.
3. Chanel Joues Contraste in Tea Rose
This does the job for me if I want lightly rose/pink-colored cheeks. Though it is not as pigmented as I want it to be, I am cool with it because I use this for a really light dusting of color on my cheeks. The smell is the only thing that in a way turns me off.
4. NARS Deep Throat
The only peach-toned blush that works for me. Peaches usually look muddy on me, I dunno why. But this looks really pretty on my cheeks. It looks natural sans the shimmer. I use this on days I feel like being a minimalist on make up.
5. MAC Mineralize Blush Grand Duo in Intenso
A lovely medium berry shade with shimmer with a peach and gold-toned highlighter. I can't emphasize enough how gorgeous this one is! The veins are really pretty too. Like its name, Intenso, the colour payoff is really intense. I badly need a stippling brush on this one, otherwise, I'll end up looking like Raggedy Ann doll. Too bad it's LE.
6. Benefit Coralista
Though it's not my HG blush, it managed to hang by a thread on my Top 6. I am a bit disappointed with its staying power but how it looks on me is something I had to consider. I am sure there are blushes that will look better on me but it somehow manages to make me look sunkissed. The tropical fuity scent is an added bonus. In fact, I love the smell.
Look at the swatches!
Top: (L-R) Chanel JC Tea Rose, Chanel Irreelle Blush In Love, Benefit Coralista, NARS Deep Throat, NARS Taos
Bottom: MAC Mineralize Blush Grand Duo Intenso
So these are my Top picks among my blushes. I like the others but these 6 stand out from the rest. I hope everyone's having a great weekend so far! :)

Happy Feet
I went to the mall with my mom today to buy slacks and sandals since it is smart casual (no jeans allowed) at my new office. Sad because I've been used to dressing down at work. The last time I had to wear slacks at work is when I was still with IBM. Now it's dress up once again. We scored 2 black pants at the department store. Each was 50% off so we got the two pants for the price of just one! It's such a bargain. Then we went to the shoes section to look for sandals since I got so used to wearing just flip flops and my sandals need cleaning. And look what I got.
Look at the price tag. It's already cheap plus there is an additional 10% off. So I got this for only PHP350. It looks silver on the pictures but it is grayish-green. I love how it looks on my feet. And oh, it's a wedge-style so I won't have to worry much about tripping and spraining my ankle. :) I am starting to have control over the things I purchase. I am becoming a bargain shopper. Yey! Less than 1000 bucks for 2 pairs of pants and a pair of sandals. :P
Oh, the brand is Shoes Unlimited. Their shoes are really very nice and feels comfy. Now I know where I'll buy shoes again. :)

Product Review: iWhite Pore Refining Coffee Sugar Polish
The only facial scrub I have used is St. Ives Apricot facial scrub. But in less than 24 hours, a new pimple will start to develop so this product doesn't work for me at all. Since then I make my own facial scrubs which never caused me to break out. But I get lazy at times so after reading about iWhite Pore Refining Coffee Sugar Polish, I decided to check it out and see for myself.
After using it for quite some time now, it's time to share with you all what I think of this product.
Pros:
- Exfoliates and effectively removes dead skin cells
- There is gentle micro-peeling
- Doesn't hurt when scrubbed on the face (of course you have to be a little careful because it might scratch your skin if you rub it really hard)
- Smells nice
- Cheap! at PHP30 per sachet which can be used multiple times (5 times for me)
- Locally available at Watson's
- Never broke me out
Cons:
- Available in sachets only
Tip: I mix this with a little milk to make scrubbing more gentle and it smells really good. Plus milk moisturizes the skin so it keeps the skin moisturized while removing dead skin cells. I have yet to try this with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and see.
Will I buy again? YES! I will definitely HOARD this product. :P
Overall rating: 4.75/5 If there is a tub or tube of this product, it would be a perfect 5 for me.

The Immortal Beloved
The First Letter
July 6, in the morning
My angel, my all, my very self - Only a few words today and at that with pencil (with yours) - Not till tomorrow will my lodgings be definitely determined upon - what a useless waste of time - Why this deep sorrow when necessity speaks - can our love endure except through sacrifices, through not demanding everything from one another; can you change the fact that you are not wholly mine, I not wholly thine - Oh God, look out into the beauties of nature and comfort your heart with that which must be - Love demands everything and that very justly - thus it is to me with you, and to your with me. But you forget so easily that I must live for me and for you; if we were wholly united you would feel the pain of it as little as I - My journey was a fearful one; I did not reach here until 4 o'clock yesterday morning. Lacking horses the post-coach chose another route, but what an awful one; at the stage before the last I was warned not to travel at night; I was made fearful of a forest, but that only made me the more eager - and I was wrong. The coach must needs break down on the wretched road, a bottomless mud road. Without such postilions as I had with me I should have remained stuck in the road. Esterhazy, traveling the usual road here, had the same fate with eight horses that I had with four - Yet I got some pleasure out of it, as I always do when I successfully overcome difficulties - Now a quick change to things internal from things external. We shall surely see each other soon; moreover, today I cannot share with you the thoughts I have had during these last few days touching my own life - If our hearts were always close together, I would have none of these. My heart is full of so many things to say to you - ah - there are moments when I feel that speech amounts to nothing at all - Cheer up - remain my true, my only treasure, my all as I am yours. The gods must send us the rest, what for us must and shall be -
Your faithful LUDWIG.
The Second Letter
Evening, Monday, July 6
You are suffering, my dearest creature - only now have I learned that letters must be posted very early in the morning on Mondays to Thursdays - the only days on which the mail-coach goes from here to K. - You are suffering - Ah, wherever I am, there you are also - I will arrange it with you and me that I can live with you. What a life!!! thus!!! without you - pursued by the goodness of mankind hither and thither - which I as little want to deserve as I deserve it - Humility of man towards man - it pains me - and when I consider myself in relation to the universe, what am I and what is He - whom we call the greatest - and yet - herein lies the divine in man - I weep when I reflect that you will probably not receive the first report from me until Saturday - Much as you love me - I love you more - But do not ever conceal yourself from me - good night - As I am taking the baths I must go to bed - Oh God - so near! so far! Is not our love truly a heavenly structure, and also as firm as the vault of heaven?
The Third Letter
Good morning, on July 7
Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us - I can live only wholly with you or not at all - Yes, I am resolved to wander so long away from you until I can fly to your arms and say that I am really at home with you, and can send my soul enwrapped in you into the land of spirits - Yes, unhappily it must be so - You will be the more contained since you know my fidelity to you. No one else can ever possess my heart - never - never - Oh God, why must one be parted from one whom one so loves. And yet my life in V is now a wretched life - Your love makes me at once the happiest and the unhappiest of men - At my age I need a steady, quiet life - can that be so in our connection? My angel, I have just been told that the mailcoach goes every day - therefore I must close at once so that you may receive the letter at once - Be calm, only by a calm consideration of our existence can we achieve our purpose to live together - Be calm - love me - today - yesterday - what tearful longings for you - you - you - my life - my all - farewell. Oh continue to love me - never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved.
ever thine
ever mine
ever ours

After Using CURE and Aztec...
I was so eager to try the samples yesterday that I used three out of the four items I received. First, I tried CURE Aqua Gel. After that, I then slathered on some Aztec Healing Clay on my face. I would just like to share how my skin looked like after using both products.
See the zit scar on my chin and cheek? It annoys me. :( One was caused by the charcoal masque. I had a pimple on that chin and I applied the masque (stupid me) and the skin was peeled together with the masque. Ouch! The one on the cheek, I forgot which product caused it. But they're starting to lighten so I'm cool with it. :)
A closer look at my skin. I swear I wasn't wearing any make up when I took these shots. :) Other than those two zit scars, I have moles on my cheek. So sorry for the molies. :P
I will do a separate review on both products once I have used them long enough. But I can say that they are really really promising. :)
=================================================================
I have a new job in Eastwood. I just got hired today (was done in 30 minutes) and will wait for a call regarding the training schedule. And it is a day job. No more night shift for me. Yey! This is a boring and a nonsense post. I'm just happy. :P
Happy rainy Thursday, girls. :)

CURE, Aztec, Pigeon, Charcoal
I couldn't think of any title for this post so I was uber creative with it. Haha! :P Anyway, I woke up this morning with a package at the side of my bed. In it are the samples from babyjap. I received the following samples from her.
- Saizen Charcoal Cleanser (although I received a tube :P)
- CURE (natural aqua gel) - tried this and it works! It really exfoliates without the beads. :)
- Aztec Healing Clay - a lot of product inside the container
- Pigeon Two Way Cake - imagine a two-way cake available at the baby section? :P It is nice. :)
I have tried CURE and I am going to try the Aztec Healing Clay later. Thanks a million, sister. :P

Product Review: Missha Perfect BB Deep Cleansing Oil
This is the only cleansing oil I have been using for the past month. I only buy samples since I cannot find a full size of it and I am not sure if we already have Missha here in Manila. Please let me know if we do. :P I find Shu Uemura to be a little too expensive. Fasio stung my eyes. So I settled with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. But I didn't like the greasy feel so I stopped using cleansing oils/evoo. When my MAC 187 was badly stained by blushes, some girls suggested that I try using cleansing oil instead. I bought a sample of this and it worked. Well, not 100% but at least it worked. I tried it on my face and really liked it! I've been buying samples of this since then. :P
Pros:
- Doesn't sting my eyes as much as Fasio did though it still stings just a teeny bit.
- I love the very mild scent.
- Effectively removes make up and even mascaras.
- Doesn't feel greasy at all.
- The oil can be easily removed.
- Pink bottle/sachet for samples (Well, this is just me. So don't mind this pro. )
Cons:
- Not locally available. (Someone lemme know if I am wrong.)
Will I buy again? Yes! So please please lemme know if we already have it here or not. :P
Overall rating: 4.5/5
By the way, I am lemming for the Elianto Honey Cleansing Oil. Might try it one of these days. :)

IN2IT Update
I won't be doing a review of IN2IT Oil Control Powder Foundation as I can't be objective about it since it gave me a zit. I used it today when I went out. I applied it at 11am. And when I got home at 9pm, I washed my face and to my surprise, I have a new zit on my chin. :( Read more...

Japanese Foundations Rock!!!
For a few years now, MAC has been my HG (Holy Grail) in powder foundation. Unlike some girls, I never broke out with it, even with everyday use. I loved the flawless finish and how it helped keep the oilies at bay. However, it never stopped me from trying other foundies and I started trying out Japanese brands. Then I got hooked into them, each taking MAC's place as my HG foundation.
So far, these are only the Japanese foundies that I have.
- Shiseido Supplist Poreless
- Kanebo Coffret D'or
- Kanebo Revue Still Keep
- Chifure
- Fasio Fit & Stay
- IN2IT Oil Control Foundation
These are the reasons why I dig Japanese foundies and why I suggest you try 'em:
- They are very well suited and formulated for Asian skin.
- The finish is simply amazing.
- Texture is perfect, smooth and silky and soft.
- They are the ones that tend to really look natural once they blend with your skin.
- Flawless! Luminous!
- Porcelain-like skin.
- Since these are suited for Asian skin, I hardly ever experienced breaking out with any of these. I did get a zit or two but I guess it's just hormones. But with Fasio, I did get a zit right the next day after using it.
- It feels and looks like second skin.
- Just my observation - when my face starts to oil up, it looks dewy rather than icky oily.
Of course, no product is perfect and even these Japanese foundies have drawbacks.
What may hold you back:
- They tend to be really expensive, at least here in the Philippines but I dunno in other locations. The cheapest among these 7 is Fasio Fit & Stay which has been pulled out from Rustan's. Thus, making IN2IT the cheapest.
- Some may look dark in the pan but goes on light when applied on the face so you have to be careful in choosing the right shade for you because you might end up looking like a ghost.
So now that I have named the reasons why I am loving Japanese foundies, can you blame me for that? MAC will forever hold a place in my heart (ooops, I am getting cheesy now) for being my first HG foundie. But too bad the Japs kicked its behind. :P
Of course, these are based on my experience in using these foundies. You may or may not have exprerienced the same thing. Some may not like these at all and would prefer really super high end brands with uber sky-high prices too but these Japanese foundies do the job for me. In fact, they do an excellent job for me.
I have yet to try other brands such as Shu Uemura and others but I will soon. But one thing is certain. I have found 2 HG's among these. ;-) Kanebo and Shiseido. Who knows? Maybe I'll end up loving Shu uemura too once i get to try it too. But it has to play the waiting game with me as I have these and other foundies to use up. Oh, but knowing myself, I might get a Shu one of these days. Hopefully, I can hold the lemming until next year.
Oh, is Paul & Joe a Japanese brand too? :P

IN2IT Oil Control Powder Foundation + Freebies
Happy All Saint's Day, everyone! :P It's a Sunday and I got a surprise. Xend delivered a package! I wasn't expecting it because it's a Sunday. The rider told me that the one covering Marikina had an accident and might not be able to deliver tomorrow so he took the responsibility of delivering stuff for our area today even though he covers the QC area. They are so reliable, one more reason for me to love Xend waaaay more than Air21, whose service now sucks. Big time!
But anyway, here are what's inside the package. :)
I purchased the IN2IT foundie from sis Antigone of GT (aka Malditang Doktora here in Blogspot) and look at the freebies!
My mom now has the first Saizen foundie I bought and now I have one for myself! :P Yey! Thanks, sister. :)
Review next week. :)
