Hi guys! I'll just keep this short and sweet because I am so sleepy. Here's my mini haul for this week.
Here they are!
1. Zen Zest Melon Body Spray/Cologne -smells so yummy and really melon-y
2. Vitress Hair Cuticle Coat
3. 2 sachets of Maxi Peel Concealing Cream in Fair - bb cream-ish?
4. Cyleina Kojic Soap
5. D&G Light Blue samples - got them so I don't have to carry around the bottle and samples will easily fit in any purse
6. Vanilla & Co. Slip on Something Sexy in Fresh Vanilla Milk (bottled body butters) - they do not have this scent but I requested that they put FVM instead and the owner agreed (so nice of her)
I like how the bottled butter was neatly packed. Both came in yesterday.
And lastly, these came in today.
7. Clinique Fresh Bloom All Over Face Color in Peony - GWP (gift with purchase) got this on eBay and marked "not for individual sale" but I still purchased it since it's so pretty and cute.
8. Bath & Body Works Body Splash in Magnolia Blossom - 59mL
So these are my mini haul for this week. I'm officially on a no-buy mode starting today. I am so broke! >_<

Crazy woman! plus skin update
Have you heard of the crazy woman who called a bank, not sure if it's Citibank, and just kept on cursing at the agent in Tagalog? If you have, then it must've been too late for me. I just heard it. And I swear I had a headache while listening to it and I didn't finish the whole audio clip. If you want to listen to it, click HERE.
I say good luck to your eardrums. >_< Here's a mini update on my skin. Since I have been so desperate to have my old skin color back, I bought a few products. Just recently, I bought a Cyleina Kojic Soap since it's one of the fastest in whitening, as most people say. I used it for the first time last night together with my all time favorite Rice Bran and Papaya Goat's Milk as well since both RB and Kojic can be too drying for some. I used it again when I took a shower this morning and this is the result on my arm. Beware. You're in for a scare.
See how fast it worked on my skin? I was quite surprised when I saw the peeling on my skin. I have the arms of a snake. >_< But my mom saw that there's an improvement with my color. I hope my real skin color comes back in just a few months. ;D
I recently hauled some stuff but I'll just post them when they're all here.
Ciao for now! ^_^

Untitled
Hollow, empty, poignant
Such miserable feeling has taken me over
Melancholy reflected in my eyes so wistful
Worsening each day that passes me by
No hope of relinquishing this dire sensation inside
Days pass by without a gleam of hope
To have someone fill the emptiness of my barren soul
Until the night he walked into my life
Giving me sanguiness to go on with my life
Bliss, serenity, felicity
We lived in a world of seventh-heaven
His voice and laughter are like music to my ears
Endless delectation has filled my mystique
The phantom was filled with enchantment and passion
Misery, anguish, desolation
A nebula of gloom came without warning
Took the man far off to an endless crevasse
Unfathomable feelings came over me
A teardrop brought me back to reality
Once again hollow, empty poignant.
Suggestions for a title, anyone?
Product Review: Vanilla & Co. Fresh Vanilla Milk Whipped Buttercream
I purchased this Whipped Buttercream in Fresh Vanilla Milk from Vanilla & Co.'s website last week. I have been using this religiously for almost a week now enough to make a review on this product. I've used it on hot, humid days, and on those days where it's kinda cold and raining. And oh, I mixed cpc+g of Venus & Mars with this.
Here's what I think:
Pros:
-smells yummy like milk and vanilla (of course, it has to smell like vanilla!)
-looks a little oily but surprisingly not greasy on the skin when applied and texture is amazing
-makes my skin smoother and softer and keeps it well-nourished as well now that my arms are peeling
-perfect for summer, doesn't give me that icky feeling even though it's hot
-price is cheap (SALE Price P199.00/180g; P299/300g)
-locally available
Cons:
-doesn't last the whole day, I have to reapply probably because of the peeling on my skin right now
-scent can be a little sweet for some but to my surprise, my nose can tolerate its sweet vanilla scent given that I have a very sensitive nose
Will I buy again? Hell yeah!
I just can't decide which scent to try next. I'm thinking of Lemon Meringue or Vanilla Creamsicle. And I'm also thinking of getting their Slip on Something Sexy Bottled Butters in Playful Bubblegum or in Fresh Vanilla Milk as well. They don't have FVM on their Slip on Something Sexy flavors but I asked and the owner said she can put FVM instead.
I love looking at their website and I want to buy them all! But I'm broke right now. >_<

I have a new baby! Samsung Blackjack II
I have a new baby! Not the one that cries out load when hungry or wet, but a new gadget. I now have a Samsung SGH-i617 Blackjack II which is a smartphone/PDA phone.
It's using Windows mobile 6 which is good. I've used Windows mobile before when I had an O2 pda phone. I like almost everything about it except for 2 things--- 1. Camera- only 2 megapixel
2. No WiFi. I was kinda disappointed so I decided not to let goo of my Nokia N80 and keep it. For me, N80 is such a smart phone. I have installed Opera mini in it and a lot of other stuff. I just can't part ways with it. But the flex ribbon keeps getting busted so I have to have it fixed like every year. But so far, I am happy with my Blackjack II. I'm slowly getting used to the qwerty keypad again. And it's a little biggie. Look:
It's kinda big but it's not fat, I find it kinda sleek. It would've been perfect for me if it has wifi but the N80 can do that for me.
Oh, I got this from my cousin for $100. He's had it for only 2 months but hasn't used it because he likes using his Blackberry better. That's why there's an AT&T logo at the bottom of it. It looks brand new to me so I think it is a good buy.
My cousin's going back to the US today. We went out last Friday. Had late lunch at Charlie's where a friend joined us. We had philly cheese steak, buffalo wings, black angus burger, and fish & chips. I love the buffalo wings! We went home full then had coffee at Krispy Kreme in Gateway. The cousin and I went straight to Bamboo Grill Asia where we had drinks from 6pm - 10pm. We had beer, white russian drinks, onion rings with ranch sauce (which is yummy) and cheese sticks with chese sauce (which is also yummy). Yesterday, we had a despedida/farewell lunch for him. Then my cousin's girlfriend gave me something. A Victoria's Secret body lotion in Pure Seduction.
I wish my nose luck because it was never that lucky with Victoria's Secret Scents. Whenever I smell something from VS or anything sweet, I end up having a sneeze fest where I sneeze continuously for more than 10 times. Anyway, that's it for now. Ciao! ^_^

Review: MAC 187 Duo Fiber Brush
I never really understood why I had to spend a lot on brushes back then until I was into Girltalk. I learned a lot about make up, skin care, and brushes from there. Other than Girltalk, I also check out Make Up Alley to check for reviews on certain products. That is where I encountered MAC 187 or the duo fiber/stippling brush. I thought it looked weird and I was kinda baffled with its purpose. There were just too much raves on the MAC 187 brush. I wasn't that convinced yet until I got myself duo fiber brushes from Everyday Minerals and Blusche which turned out to be disappointments for me. I was able to use them and I was kinda pleased that it makes your foundation look airbrushed. I checked out this brush at the MAC counter and when I saw the MAC 187 on the handle glaring at me, that's when I knew I had to have this brush. I passed on the first chance I had to get it and it haunted me for days. I couldn't sleep well and I even had a dream about being at the MAC counter in Rustan's Shangri La buying one. It was driving me nuts so I decided to buy the Adoring Carmine Holiday Collection brush Set. Sadly though, I was quite disappointed with the 187SE. It was scratchy after I washed it. I wasn't happy and satisfied with my purchase so that's when I decided to get the 187FS, with the help of a little convincing from fellow Girltalkers.
And now, here it is! My MAC 187FS. I couldn't bring myself to always use it because I'm afraid that if I use it frequently, the label might go off and that it might shed a lot. But then I didn't spend PHP2950 bucks on a brush that won't be of use to me. It's not supposed to be a display. So yeah, I used it on foundation, blushes, and finishing powders. I must say it's great! But it works best with liquid foundation and blushes. It gives this airbrushed look when stippled. And with the blush, it applies perfectly! The blush looks so natural and not chalky nor powdery nor dusty on the cheeks. I have to admit that I gave in to the MAC 187 hype. I am now definitely a fan.
Here's what I think of the MAC 187 Duo Fiber/Stippling brush:
Pros:
1. Versatile, multi-purpose brush (can be used for blush, foundation- liquid, cream, powder, and even finishing powders)
2. Looks very professional and classy
3. This brush is most likely to last you for years if given proper care
4. Locally available
Cons:
1. C'est si cher! (It's so expensive!) PHP2950 ($59) for one brush! It's way more expensive here in the Philippines.
2. The label can go off the handle, according to some people's experiences - this is the reason why I do not want to use this brush that much.
If you are not into liquid foundation and a powder foundation user just like me, you can pass on this brush since a kabuki or a flat top will do. But if you want to use this brush for blushes, you'd be better off with the smaller MAC 188 brush. And it's a thousand bucks cheaper at PHP1950.
Will I buy this brush again? Nah. I'm planning to make this brush last me a long time. And with PHP2950, I can buy more than just one brush.
Goodnight! ^_^

Human Heart Nature + Cyleina Haul
Lately, I've been into these organic stuff. It all started when I first used By Nature handmade soaps then I was introduced to Cyleina organic soaps. Then I saw the benefits of using organic products with Cyleina. So I sort of jumped into the organic bandwagon when I decided to try out several other organic stuff. Yesterday, I made my first order from Human Heart Nature and it was shipped out the same day which is quick. I received them today.
Human Heart Nature is:
- 100% organic
- 100% Philippine ingredient
- 100% no harmful chemicals
I got the following from them:
1. Intense Moisture Hair Mask 50g - mango, butter, vitamin E, & peppermint PHP75 (roughly$1.50)
Mango Butter and natural Vitamin E Intense Moisture Hair Mask with Peppermint. Banish dry, distressed hair forever with a once a week intense conditioning hair mask with nature’s strongest restoratives for shine, fullness and health!
2.Nourishing Conditioner in Mango Butter & Mandarin 100ml - silky smooth formula PHP54.75 (a little over $1)
Want soft, strong hair like Rapunzel? Mango butter heals and regenerates hair cuticles for soft, touchable hair that won’t break easily. Handy when you’ve got a handsome prince hanging on to your hair! Choose PEPPERMINT or LEMONGRASS for normal finish or MANDARIN or UNSCENTED for silky smooth hair.
3. Moisturizing Shampoo & Body Wash in Aloe Vera, Egg White, and Mandarin 100ml - silky smooth formula PHP59.75) (a little over $1)
Breathe new life back into your parched, sun-damaged or chemically-treated hair with our enriching and deeply moisturizing hair elixir! Choose from tropical GUAVA scent for normal finish or citrus MANDARIN scent and EXTRA VIRGIN COCONUT OIL for silky, smooth hair.
Total damage: PHP239.50 inclusive of PHP50 shipping (a little less than $5)
Oh, I also received my Cyleina Gluta-Max soap yesterday. That's how desperate I am to get rid of my tan. X_X
I read good reviews on Girltalk about Human Heart Nature that's why I decided to try some of their products. I was supposed to get their Mango Body Butter but I still have my Vanilla & Co. Whipped Buttercream so I passed on it. I'll try it probably when I run out of my whipped buttercream.
I'll give these organic hair care stuff a try and see how it works for me. Ciao for now! ^_^

My skin care haul + a bronzer
I went out this afternoon to have a late lunch with my cousin and his girlfriend. I was supposed to meet them at Greenhills but met up at Robinson's Galleria instead then we headed straight to Charlie's. We had philly cheese steak and black angus burger and fries. We each had a bottle of beer too. They were heading to Trinoma and I just had them drop me off at Gateway where I had a quick coffee with a friend then I went home. When I got home, I saw two packages on my bed. One from Vanilla & Co. and the other from Venus & Mars. Here's my haul. And oh, I received my Covergirl bronzer yesterday so I included it on the picture.
My Vanilla & Co. purchases- Fresh Vanilla Milk Whipped Buttercream and Buttermilk Melt in your skin powder milkbath
My Venus & Mars purchase- CPC+G and a free sample of their lulur soap
The Covergirl Bronzer in Soleil
There's my happy haul! I bought the cpc+g from Venus & Mars because of my sunburnt skin. Jamie of Venus & Mars was kind enough to include a sample of their lulur soap. Plus there's the Cyleina Glutamax soap I'll most probably receive by tomorrow. I hope my skin gets back to its original color soon. I'm so not used at my color right now.
I am so excited to use my Vanilla & Co. products because I love anything with milk in it. I love how they smell. The milkbath smells so yummy and creamy and reminds me of Alaska or Nido powdered milk. I am so fighting the urge to taste it. ^_^ Since it melts on your skin, I am so psyched to try it. I'll try it tonight when I take a shower.
Ciao for now! ^_^
EDIT:
I tried Vanilla & Co.'s milkbath and it really does melt on the skin. It feels so creamy. Gah! I sort of licked my finger to taste it. I know it's yucky but I couldn't resist. Tastes like milk with a little salt on it. :P I almost used up 20-25% of the product because I used it thrice. That's how much I enjoyed it. I'll just have to use it at least once or twice a week, otherwise, I'll have to order one bottle every single week.
I also mixed 6 drops of Venus & Mars cpc+g originally on my Vanilla & Co. Whipped Buttercream. I'm glad it did not affect the scent of the body butter. I like how the whipped buttercream doesn't feel sticky and greasy on my skin. It feels so light as well. And best off all, my skin smells yummy.
I decided to add a few more drops since the ratio is 3-6 drops per 30ml. But uh oh, I accidentally spilled more than 30 drops of it on the 180ml buttercream. Rough estimate is 40-50. I hop I can still use it. I asked if i still can on both Girltalk and V&M website. I hope I don't have to ditch the body butter. X_X
Overall, I am happy with the products. Well, my skin is happier. ^_^
EDIT:
I sent Jamie an sms asking if it's safe and she said yes, it is still safe to use even though I put more than 30 drops on my body butter since some apply it directly on their skin. Yay! I am so happy.

Sunburnt or Sunkissed?
Heya! I went swimming with my whole family last Sunday. We had a blast! But the only two things I didn't like about it are: my sunburn and my body hurts like hell after that. My skin is finally coming back to its original color (thanks to Cyleina's rice bran, papaya goat's milk, and black pearl) but in just an hour, my skin is already soooo red. What's even more annoying is that since my cousin threw me in the pool when we got there, I decided not to change instead since my shirt and shorts got wet. And now, my arms aren't evenly tanned. It's like I have a white shirt under my top. Here are some proof.
It's really that bad. :(
On my cheeks and nose. But I'm liking the sunkissed look except for the part that my nose is so red. It's not that obvious on the picture but it is really red in person.
I bought Cyleina's Gluta-Max soap because I want my skin color back. And I remember seeing before and after pics of someone who used that soap on her tanned skin. I only need it on my arms and legs though.
But a couple of neighbors saw me and they said they loved my sunkissed skin and she wants her skin to be like mine. Maybe it's not really that bad after all. But I like my old skin better. ^_^

RANT! ELF Sunkissed Bronzer
I am really annoyed and sad because when I brought out my ELF Sunkissed Bronzer, I was surprised to see that it was broken into pieces! It was in my bag and i don't remember throwing my bag anywhere. I dunno how it could've possibly broke just like that. I've had it for like 2 days and a half and now it's a mess! T'was a disaster and a total waste of money even though it's just for PHP129 bucks. I haven't even used it when I went out! Bummer!
Good news is I found a Covergirl Bronzer in Soleil on eBay and immediately clicked on the Buy It Now button. Been eyeing that for weeks now. And I now I had a good reason to buy it because I need a bronzer that isn't powdered. ^_^ Read more...
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
Ive always been on the lookout for a good concealer. I'm using MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC30 (which is my HG), Skinfood Rice Concealer 21, and The Body Shop Lightening Touch 03. I rarely use my Fanny Serrano Concealer in Sand as it has poor staying power for me. Anyway, I came across this Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer on eBay. I decided to check out MUA for reviews. They're quite okay and so I clicked on the Buy It Now Button. I received it earlier and I got an eyeliner as a freebie.
I got this in Fair because there's no other shade available though I was lemming for the Yellow one. Applied a little on my under eyes. I only need very little amount for each under eye. It looked a little off at first but it blended well with my skin after a few minutes. I had to blend and pat a little faster because the consitency ain't that smooth and thick and creamy and it might dry out fast. It smells kinda weird and funny but it's tolerable.
The tube contains 11ml of product and I have a feeling it'll take me just a month or two to finish this product if I use it often. I like that you can control the amount of product that comes out when you squeeze it because of how the tube is designed so there's a little chance for you to waste the product.
At the back of the carton, it says:
under eye concealer
-formulated with caffeine and silk, this formula instantly visibly lifts under eye area
-radiance pearls visibly help conceal dark circles and brighten tired eues
-hypoallergenic, won't clog pores, dermatologically tested
I tried it at the back of my hand as well. It blended well with my skin there and sort of brightened the spot where I blended the concealer on.
I dunno if you can see the difference but I am able to see it. Must be the poor quality of the pictures. Sorry. ^_^
Pros:
-really did brighten my under eyes and sorft of made them look less puffy
-small packaging and can easily fit in your make up bag
-you only need a miniscule amout for each eye
-blends easily
-I only got it for PHP130 bucks which isn't bad
Cons:
-not sure if locally available
-contains 11ml according to the label but I doubt if there's really 11ml of product inside the tube
-kinda runny, not so creamy
I like it but I don't think it's a good substitute for my HG concealer. But I like the brightening effect and what it did to the puffing so I'll buy it again if I see another one. It's hard to find so I'm not sure if I can find another. Read more...

Yum Moments: Charlie's Grind and Grill Handcrafted Burgers
I discovered Charlie's, thanks to my friends and I've liked it ever since I tried their dishes. I had philly cheese steak the last time I went there with someone. I didn't take any more pictures because I already have a few. This is what we had:
This is their philly cheese steak in Hungry. We had Starving the last time which is bigger than Hungry. I love the jalapeno and the beef strips and the cheese.
Hungry is like in between PHP220-PHP290 bucks and Starving is around PHP350, if I remember it correctly.
These are some pictures of what we had back then.
Black Angus beef burger with fries. PHP150 without the fries and I think PHP220 if with fries. Hard to finish it and gotta take your time eating this if you want to finish it.
Hot wings/buffalo wings with blue cheese dip. It's really hot. Either PHP160 or PHP180 for 6 wings.
Fish and Chips with Lemon slice and dip. I dunno the price as I haven't tried it yet.
Charlie's is located at United St., in Barangay Kapitolyo, Pasig. The last time I was there, a celebrity was right next to our table. It was Robin da Roza with his friend. ^_^
It's right beside a carwash and it's a pretty small place. You have to be there either early or late. You can't be there on the right time because there'll be no table for you. it actually reminds me of an American Diner. They also serve American draft beers and local beers too.
This is the place to dine if you are really starving. ^_^
