When it comes to lipsticks, I prefer sheer and moisturizing ones. I never liked matte finishes because they make me look old and flat. What I like is something you would call a hybrid between a lip balm and a lip gloss. It may seem a little hard to find something like that but hey, I found one, and it's Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Ripe Papaya. Come on, take a look. It won't bite. :P
One of the things I love about this lipstick is the packaging. It looks so luxurious to me. And I like that there is some sort of a lock on the cap to make sure it won't fall off the tube.
A very pretty coral-orange pink shade. I love how glossy and moisturizing this lipstick is. This also goes on sheer so it is pretty much build-able. It has very fine shimmers that adds "bling" to this lipstick. The only thing I really don't like about it is the signature Estee Lauder scent on their lippies. I find it a bit strong at first but I kept using this until my nose sort of got immuned and used to the scent. But it never fails to make me wrinkle my nose upon initial application. On days that my nose is more sensitive than the usual, I apply Mentholatum Lip Ice in Lemon so I'll be able to smell the lemony scent instead. I guess one has to get used to the fragrance to totally like this lippy. This lipstick has met my criteria in liking lipsticks save for the scent. I also like how it makes my lips look "juicy".
Overall a nice lipstick with a very pretty shade and its being non-drying is a plus. However, I am on the fence as to whether or not I will repurchase because I'm afraid it might trigger my allergic rhinitis and migraine on those days when my nose is extra sensitive.
Have you tried this lipstick?
Happy Friday, super awesome peeps!
