Here's another Yum Moments food post. Of course, I met up with my food trip buddy and decided to check out two different places here in Marikina. We were too lazy to go elsewhere but we just might one of these days. We originally intended to eat at Jolie's Barbecue but after more than half an hour of searching for it, we gave up because we couldn't find it. We then decided to look for Mama Chit's and once again, looking for it was an epic fail and since we ended up somewhere near Cafe Lidia, we decided to just have dinner there. This time, we had Baked Lasagna Bolognese (yum!) and Pizza Madam instead of the House Special we had back then.
The lasagna is just right. It's not too sweet and not too sour either. You can taste every single thing they put in there, even the herbs. Not too earthy too. And the garlic toast tastes good too. I am so glad that it's not as oily as compared to the pasta swimming in too much oil I had at Qizia Cafe which really disappointed me. One serving costs Php140.
We decided to share the lasagna which left us craving for more because we originally thought it was also good for more than one person just like the pizza.
Their Pizza Madam. it has olives (I love!), bell pepper, tomatoes, onions, ham, and pepperoni. Php230 for 8 slices of 12-inch pizza.
See the gooey cheese? Yum! As usual, the crust is my kind of thin crust. Crunchy but not as crunchy as crackers but not too soft as bread.
And this is what we paired with the pizza. Ice cold beer but it's no longer ice cold when I took this shot.
Once again, Cafe Lidia did not fail our tummies and went home feeling bloated. Haha! And here's a shot of the wall or design that really caught my eye. Enjoy kuya too. Haha! :P
Have you finally tried Cafe Lidia? If you want to but don't know your way around, lemme know and I'll gladly take you there. No fees anyway. Haha! :P
