Ever since my Superhero Soap stopped working for me (broke me out for no reason why), I had to look for a better alternative. When I went to Healthy Options to buy Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap in Peppermint variant, I checked out their cleansers and this one caight my eye so I gladly included this on my purchase. I have been using this 3 weeks to a month now and I guess it's time to give it a review.
What I like:
- Effectively removes my makeup even waterproof mascaras and gel liners, leaving no traces of dirt.
- Holds true to being a refreshing cleanser. My face feels fresher and cleaner.
- Has a very nice citrus scent that basically just reminds me of oranges.
- Has a pump that effectively dispenses just the right amount of product.
- Since this is made for normal to oily skin, it works in keeping the oilies at bay. My face is no longer as oily as it used to be.
- Did not break me out.
- Says they are pro-organic and devoid of harsh chemicals.
- Inexpensive for in between Php329-379 for a 250mL bottle which will last me for months.
- Locally available at Healthy Options.
What I don't like:
- It can be too drying for some. Made my skin so dry plus the cold weather added to the dryness. I stopped using it for now and wait until the summer comes.
Overall rating: 4.5/5 This is perfect for those with oily skin. But if you have dry skin, skip this one and get the cleansing milk variant instead.
Will I buy again? Yes!

ReplyDeletei'm currently using olay.. but i'm not very happy w/ it. i don't think it cleans my face much :|
Mia, I broke out with Olay naman. :P
ReplyDeleteSo after you use this product, you don't have to wash it off with a regular cleanser? Cause with cold creams, you have to wash it off. :-/
ReplyDeleteglad to know that this might work for me :) i need a liquid soap for the shu uemura oil to wash out completely. my skintel doesn't work so well with the shu so i might try this when i run out of my elemis :)
ReplyDeleteFinally, a cleanser that doesn't harm your ultra sensitive skin :)
ReplyDeleteIt's such a bummer to tag a previous HG product as non-effective, right? So sad you broke out from using your trusted HG soap (i can't believe it!).
Michelle, this works like a facial wash, you need to rinse it off. :)
ReplyDeleteCrystal, it might. Just be ready for the drying part since it can be a little drying especially on cold days. :)
Argie, yeah. So sad. I think it came to a point wherein my skin got immune to the effects of the superhero soap. :P
ReplyDeleteI'm currently using Etude's House Bubble oil. :) might try this after i am through with the bottle since it seems that it won't last a long time.
ReplyDeleteI love products with vitamin C!!

Nice find Pammy!
ReplyDeleteI always passed by Healthy Options but I've never visited their shop. I thought they just sell vitamins, healthy foods and etc. I didn't know they carry skin care products...hehe.
Will definitely check it out.
I wanna try this thing for my oily skin as im still in search for my own "superhero soap" too hehe. Probably after i finish my juice green apple cleanser which i'm not too crazy about. :-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's great for oily skin. Just not perfect during cold months since it's drying. But give it a try, fellas, you might like it. :P
