Last night, I cooked cream dory fish in lemon and butter for dinner. We had leftovers so I decided to create something out of it. I decided to make tomato meat sauce for the fish.
What you need:
(for the fish)
- Cream Dory fish
- butter
- salt & pepper to taste
- lemon
(for the tomato meat sauce)
- ripe tomatoes
- spaghetti sauce
- ground pork
- salt & pepper to taste
- minced onion and garlic
What to do:
1. Salt & pepper the fish
2. Melt butter on a heated pan.
3. Fry cream dory until golden brown
4. Squeeze a little lemon juice on the fish
Prepare the meat sauce.
1. Melt butter on a heated pan.
2. Saute onion and garlic on melted butter.
3. Add the ground pork and cook until brown and tender.
4. Slice the tomato and squish it and remove the seeds.
5. Add the squished tomato.
6. Add the spaghetti sauce.
7. Salt and pepper to taste.
Pour a little meat sauce on top of the cream dory fish. Garnish with a little lemon zest.
Serve and eat.
And if you have plenty of tomato meat sauce left, cook a little pasta for another dish. :)
Or you can dip your favorite chips on the meat sauce, making it your salsa.
